Children's drawing competition

"Shout to make trade fair" was the noise-generating slogan at Ramna park, downtown Dhaka on the second day of the launch of Oxfam's trade campaign in Bangladesh.

While monsoon showers drenched the city in the early hours of the day, by 9am, the sun was shining. Just in time for more than 60 children of garment workers who arrived to Ramna park to partake in a drawing competition organized by Oxfam and the BGMEA.

Balloons and kits decorated the playground where soon the children got to work to produce some beautiful art. And to keep the children entertained some of Bangladesh's best known musicians also decided to come. Azam Khan the man who is accredited with bringing pop music to Bangladesh sang with all his might and with admiration towards the children.

As soon as all the children finished their drawing spontaneous dancing and singing began that rocked the entire park.
