Sara Lee makes enormous profits while coffee farmers
are receiving the lowest prices in 100 years.

  E-mail Sara Lee and demand they follow Procter & Gamble’s
  lead by offering Fair Trade coffee. Tell them to give coffee
  farmers a break by paying a decent price for their coffee.

The global coffee crisis continues to deepen, with no immediate end in sight, and still you have ignored our demands for fairness for coffee farmers. What’s more shocking, you have performed the worst of all the major roasters! You buy some Fair Trade Certified coffee but you have no plans to expand. Although Sara Lee did work with the rest of industry to address the coffee crisis, this does not hide the fact that you have done very little to pay coffee farmers better prices, establish guidelines for buying coffee, adhere to international coffee quality standards or help coffee farmers diversify. Sara Lee is falling behind the other roasters. What are you going to do to make a real contribution to end the crisis?
